If I asked any one of you what is the best gift of mankind? Few of you will say materialistic things, some of you might say logical thinking mind and some of you will say this earth with water to drink and air to breathe or some of you might even say a pair of opposable thumbs which made us humans come this far in Darwin’s theory of evolution. All of you are right in your own fashion and agree with you.
However, I feel the gifts of mankind are our traditional five senses
• Sense of Sight
• Sense of Hearing
• Sense of Smell
• Sense of Touch
• Sense of Taste
However, the best of them is Sense of sight. Why? If I have to tell this out which I will but if you did not get an opinion still, then my request to the one who is reading this Post is please look in to your life properly after reading the next lines.
It was Wednesday October 14th, 2009 I was heading somewhere and in Jayanagar, Bengalooru there is a place not far from my house called Shanthi Park Apartments. It’s a big junction as a lot of traffic moves around that place; I was driving through this road that’s when I noticed a visually impaired girl standing to cross the road. I saw that she was waiting for somebody to help her cross the road. I was about to stop but I saw a girl crossing the road seeing that I assumed that she must be trying to help the visually impaired girl. I drove ahead but something told me to slow down and I just looked back in the rear view mirror. The visually impaired girl was still standing there and the girl who crossed the road just went in to the apartments.
I stopped and turned around in a one way traffic. Luckily traffic was light that time and I was on the left side of the road. I drove back on one way street since I had stopped within few yards. I did not have to go a long way. I know I broke a rule but a rule is not more for me than humanity. I went and asked the girl “shall I help you to cross the road?” She said yes. I helped her cross the road but the moment I was helping her cross the road. I felt it’s not she who is visually impaired it’s we who are visually impaired. I would like to specifically point out the two guys who were standing and gossiping beneath the tree which was behind her. The girl: who crossed the road and still walked away even after seeing this girl standing there. Visually Impaired is the local municipal corporation who has not done any arrangements in spite of being aware of the fact that there is a School for Visually Impaired in the opposite locality.
When I walked up to that Visually Impaired Girl I saw desperation in her, hoping that somebody out there would help her out. She must have been thinking If only I had a bit of sight so that could cross the road on my own. These people who are visually impaired are not so by choice or for even a matter of fact a person who is Physically / Mentally challenged is not in such a situation by choice. It’s how they came here, here in to this earth. They also deserve an equal opportunity to survive and make a living just like the rest of you and me. But why in god’s name are we not giving them / helping them? Here WE are the people who are not physically / mentally challenged. Here the difference between them and us is time and if time chooses it can turn tables on us it can do anything.
I chose to write this article after I saw how beautiful this world, a visually impaired person does not have the ability to do so as well. He / she will never see how beautiful a sunrise / sunset is or how beautiful this nature is. If he / she cannot see how beautiful the creator has created us, imagine if a visually impaired by birth asks us what color is? I will never be able to explain. Can you? I know visually impaired can dream but it’s never proved whether they dream is in color or in monochrome as they do not know what color is.
I know all the senses are equally important and I am wrong in saying this is the best sense but actually one among the best. But I don’t mind being wrong as I owe a lot to these visually impaired people from that school. They changed how I look in to life? They have taught me how happy I can be, they were the ones who brought happiness back in to my life. When I was in depression and lost hope in life. Why I lost hope in life? Why I was in depression is my secret? And I visit this visually impaired school whenever I feel that I do not have anything in life. I go there and when I come out I feel that I am gifted.
I know this is an emotional post; some of you might have had watery eyes by now. If not its ok but I did when I wrote this post I did have water in my eyes as I am a very emotional person. I am moved by emotions. My sister had a tough time battling my bag of emotions when we were growing up and so did my mom. My ex-girlfriend had a tough time keeping up with my emotional turbulence. Ask my team and my managers how much they have to fight with my baggage of emotions. Now this emotional fool has a humble request actually two requests to all practical and emotional people out there in this world.
1. Please donate your eyes before you are deceased and ensure that you fulfill that pledge and your family understands it. Gifting sight is considered as the greatest gift you can give to somebody.
2. In any place if you find any Physically / Mentally Challenged person then do not stop yourself from asking them if they need help. I know they might say No but do not be put off by it. They are very proud people and take pride in being self dependent and please respect that.
I know like everybody you might say WIIFM (What’s In It For Me) / WSI (Why Should I) / WWIG (What Will I Get). I won’t say blessings / a ticket to heaven and such crap. It is the least thing we could do for being a human. What say? These people do not want your pity but your support. Please stand with them for support and not against them who knows someday we might be standing among them fighting others like us.
Like Hrishikesh Mukerji said in his classic movie Bawarchi "Apna Kaam Sabhi Karte hain, Kabhi Doosron ka kaam karke dekho kitni khushi milti hai" loosely translated it means "Everybody is supposed to do their work but try doing somebody else’s work. You will find immense joy in it." But I would say make somebody's day or even better life by your gift of sight.

Movie Review : Drag Me to Hell
It’s time we put out the red carpet to welcome one of the original masters of horror back in to Cape fear. Sam Raimi who engineered the creation of one of the legendary horror movie series “Evil Dead” though he is also very famous for “Xena the Warrior Princess” is now come back with “Drag Me to Hell”.
Movie Description
Sam Raimi has brought demons & gypsy curses in a new manner to us viewers. He has used his experience of nail biting cliff hangers from Spiderman here. There is not much use of Graphic not as much as Spiderman however, the graphics used suits the movie. He story plot revolves around Christine Brown (Allison Lohan) a loan officer in a bank who gets a gypsy curse when she has a tiff with a gypsy woman. This is the start of the ride of fear, the brilliant use of sounds and shadows and a faceless fear is really nice. Justing Long (kid from Die Hard 4.0) plays Christine’s boy friend who justifies the role. Dileep Rao plays an Astrologer who can see psychic vibrations and he has done more than justice to the airtime he was given. The star of the show is Lorna Raver who plays the gypsy woman Sylvia Ganush, during the movie you will either start hating her or become scared of her. Graphics and the character outline has made her scary. Her character steals the lime light.
Rating
I rate this movie under the genre horror thriller and if I see all the horror movies which have come lately (I am referring to these slash & burn movies) then this movie is a cut above the rest. You will be feeling what happens in the end after 45 minutes of the movie. By the way end is suspense and I won’t give out any spoilers. I give 3.75 / 5 for this movie for the story plot and potent of fear it has.
Verdict
If you experiment with horror thrillers then do watch this movie. If you have been a fan of Sam Raimi’s work then he shows his creativity with this movie. If you have been always fascinated by demons, curses and the occult then it’s a must watch for you guys. However, the normal public or the janta (not junta) you might find it boring but this movie has more to it than what meets the eye.
Overall – watch it as it’s horror with a new perspective.

Movie Review : Bruno
Kamal Hassan made Dashavataram in which he played 10 characters in a single movie, though his acting potential was utilized to an extent but the ten characters had one fault except one or two in others you could easily recognize him. However, here is a actor (I guess it would be an understatement if I call him an Actor he is a performer) whom in time we have forgotten how he looks like actually. The many of many faces, I introduce you to Sacha Baron Cohen a British Comedian who has taken comedy to a different level. This movie is all about his character Bruno from the Ali G show.
Movie Description
Bruno is yet another Mockumentary Genre from Sacha Baron Cohen his last movie Borat was hysterical and funny to the core a movie about a cultural learning of a journalist ‘Borat Sagdiyev’ from Kazakhstan (sad news not released in India) and prior to that ‘Ali G InDaHouse’ another movie revolving around his wanna-be gangster character ‘Ali G’.
Bruno is an Austrian Homosexual Fashion Reporter who has his own show “Funkyzeit” on the fashion segment of the channel. After he ruins a fashion show by his antiques he is fired from the channel and that’s when he decides to go to America and become a famous Gay Movie Star like Arnold Schwarzenegger. This starts the fuse for all the events that comes ahead. If you watch this movie expecting he humor like Borat then you are on a way of disappointment however, if you watch it as a fresh encounter with Sacha then yes you will have fun. I cannot write much about the movie as it is a mockumentary and if I speak anything then it will reveal the plot.
Rating
I have considered this movie under the genre of mockumentaries for reviewing. The movie is a situational comedy and satirical acts which make it stand out of its predecessors. If I compare to Borat this movie suffers from creative plot development. Though this movie is hysterical still it is in segments as it is not a laugh riot which starts from beginning to the end. I give it a 2 / 5 for the movie and an extra 0.25 for the NBC channel Pilot shot by Bruno and an extra 0.25 for the mime make out scene of Bruno with the spirit of deceased Rob Pilatus of Milli Vanilli fame so overall rating is 2.5 / 5.
Verdict
This movie is not everybody’s cup of tea like Borat. Some will find it offensive, some shocking and some humorous. I will give you two reasons why you should watch this movie
1. No matter how much liberal we are with respect to media this movie will not be released in India. If it does then it’s not worth watching the movie as everything will be cut. If it’s released with ‘A’ Rating then also the Moral Police will burn down the theaters. So watch it.
2. How often do you get a chance to see a person showing courage to the maximum levels. If you say stunt shows or reality dramas then those are pre-fixed. This movie shows the courage of an actor who stays true to a character even in the worst case scenario. Even when he was chased by an angry mob for his clothing in Palestine.
Overall - My verdict is watch it as you will find humor in a different way.

Thought for Freedom
“Freedom is the right of all sentient beings” this was told by Autobots leader Optimus Prime in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. On the eve before our nation celebrates its 62nd year of Independence marking its years of freedom from the imperial rule of the monarch. I am giving this article dedicated only to people who fought in their own ways and brought us that ever elusive freedom.
No and a real big No is my answer to all who are thinking that this is one more article by one more person which will glorify our Independence Struggle.
Do you love your country?
I guess no one will say “No” to this. I might be wrong in stereotyping your answers but collectively everybody will agree, affirmative. Now if I ask all of you who said ‘Yes’
Why do you love your country?
Many will come with an answer but after thinking for a while and few are still thinking. Now, to all who answered and to all who raced through these questions my last self question for now is
Do you respect and follow all the laws of this country?
The odds of finding a person who will say yes will be equal to getting struck by a lightning strike twice in a row.
My motive behind asking these questions is to make you aware that we Indians are naturally inclined towards the word compromise or being self-absorbed. If you doubt what I say then I will prove it. We got our freedom but we did not develop a respect for that freedom. Yes respect for the same freedom which we are misusing because of the fact that we were given our freedom and not earned it.
I know for a fact few of you will think that we earned the freedom and were not given the freedom. So to all of you my question is “Who fought for our freedom”? I know few will say ‘the freedom fighters’, few of you might say ‘common man’ but did he or they actually fight for freedom, he or they fought for Mahatma Gandhi who fought for freedom. Both might look similar but have a grave difference in them. In short the common man received Independence but was either not told or did not know how to use his / her freedom. Our freedom is still controlled by people in power who have replaced the Imperial British Rule.
Misuse of Power
In our democracy for a country where people are chosen on ballot votes would you believe if I told you that 540+ people are running a country filled with 1.2 billion in population. The majority chooses out of the 540+ a premier and his cabinet of ministers, who will then run this country. I would like to tell here is more than 50% percent of the 540 have a case or a pending trial in a Court of Law for some crime. The sad fact here is we have had great leaders or at least so called great leaders but they came to power either to fight for religion oppression or community oppression or apartheid. However, we have never had the opportunity to be led by a leader who had only one intention and that was benefit of the people. Even if we had such a leader but running the country is a team work. All those who have power either misuse to their benefit or use it in a way so that even if somebody wants to do good they use their power to stop it.
For example Nandigram Incident should ring some bells. Mamta Banerjee is now the union railway minister, Ratan Tata manufactured Nano out of Gujarat and even it is in the market. However the real losers are the people of Nandigram.
Corruption
We Indians either take or expect some rewards for the work which we are expected to do. It can be monetary or it can be materialistic but the common thing is we expect rewards that too from the person for whom we are doing the service. This is a disease called corruption and we either encourage it by paying it or by receiving it. The reason being money is not the best motivator for anybody for the simple fact no matter how much we have it still it’s not enough. Our needs are more than the means of fulfilling it. The result is we expect our fellow citizens to pay for it. This practice is best observed in a public sector / public service organization. Every Indian till now either has received or paid some sort of bribe in his life at least some time.
We corrupt our kids’ right from our childhood. We tell them that they will get a reward if they finish homework on time, or if they are top in studies or if they behave well. We think we are motivating them but we are wrong because we are making them dependent on the thing called incentive which they will start seeing wherever they go. We want our kids to be independent but we are the same people who are pushing them towards the slavery of incentive which eventually will lead to accepting bribe.
In Bengalooru, there is a National Highway (NH-7) aka Hosur Road. If you go there in the wee hours of morning, you can see traffic cops accepting bribes from lorry drivers as they pass on the highway. Why do they take bribe? Pocket Money or because no lorry is allowed to pass on NH – 7 from morning 6.30 AM – 9.00 PM. I myself was caught one day by a traffic cop and to my disdain I was not carrying all my vehicle papers. The guy demanded Rs. 100 to let me go. I had to pay him and go as I did not want to go through the hassles of going to court to pay a fine. However, it taught me one thing. It is to carry all the vehicle documents whenever I travel. From the lowest level clerk to a cabinet ranking minister all are corrupted either by power or by money.
Traffic Laws
Our opinion towards Traffic rules is ‘I don’t care’. It is one of the most troubling crimes and increasing at an alarming rate. We don’t know how to follow lanes; we don’t stop at red lights. We do not give indication while stopping or taking a turn. We don’t even know what a zebra crossing is and what is it for. We are always in a hurry to reach our destinations. We know speed limits within city limits but we seldom follow it. We have always over sped whichever vehicle it is. We are masters in jay walking, even if there is an underpass for a road we jump the girders and cross the road but not use the underpass thus adding adrenaline rush to our normal mundane life. We spit from a moving bus and if our luck is good it will land up on some bikers face. We always get joy in driving on a no entry or one way street. Wearing a helmet on a bike is so old fashioned and not style.
My question to all of you who break one or the other rule mentioned here is who in the hell gave you a right to jeopardize somebody else’s life. If you want to die please go and jump from a building or lie on the tracks of a train but I am not ready to die because of somebody else’s mistake.
Unity
We claim that we are a socialistic secular republic, where every religion is respected and valued. Is this true? Do a favor and ask yourself this? We always fight amongst ourselves in the name of god, religion, language, territory, water, creed, caste and reservation. We still proclaim that we are unified. In fact our unity comes to picture only when some alien force attacks us.
We see Ajmal Kasab who attacked Mumbai CST on 26/11 as a terrorist and a murderer of humanity. I would agree on both but he did a great favor to us Indians. He unified us in just three days. Yes he did and how did he pull it off because of the attacks instigated by him and his troop. People were fighting in Mumbai because non-marathis were writing railway recruitment exams. A so called savior of Maharashtra ‘Raj Thackeray’ and his followers targeted North Indians and beat them black and blue so that they leave Maharashtra. However, after 26/11 we haven’t even heard a fart from him.
I want Unity amongst religions, of all class and types and masses of all sectors of society but if this unity is like an old man’s erection which has no clue when it will go limp. I know my language is harsh but the metaphor serves right as in 26/11 case people will forget unity and Ajmal Kasab as soon as media stops running news on him.
Ruining Public Property
Yes we are famous for doing. You want to know how ask any Indian lover how he defaced an archeological monument just to carve his and his love ones’ names. I am sure he will have pride in telling it. We keep our houses spotless but we do not know how to use a dustbin when we are out. We take plastic bags and dump it in picnic spots or waterfalls. We tear the seats of buses I don’t know why people do it. We spit inside cinema halls and one of the most noticed habits of an average Indian is discharging his natural wastes in public or on public walls. We derive satisfaction by lubricating the walls where it is written not to urinate.
Ruining Natural Resources
We sip on till the last drop of a juice from a bottle but when we are refueling our vehicles the fuel station attendant spills few drops of fossil fuel after refueling your tank. Have we ever raised a concern for it?
Only 2.5% of the world water is drinkable and yet we waste water like it is nothing. We let the taps run all the time. We wash our vehicles everyday irrespective to the fact whether we wash ourselves everyday or not. We are not even bothered that people in some countries have to walk miles just to access safe drinking water. The same is in the case of power do we even think about all the natural resources at our disposal now may go extinct to the future.
Conclusion
I had the opportunity to travel abroad and I noticed how well behaved and responsible people were. They waited to cross a road on a zebra crossing only. They followed lanes perfectly and they respected their fellow Compatriots well and I never saw anybody defacing any public property. I know I cannot compare a foreign country with India but my point is being responsible and sensible does not differ from country to country because if you love and respect your country, you will be responsible to take care of it as if it is your home and your family.
We Indians have to take up a pledge that we owe this country to the future generations and if we want it to be good and beautiful and a wonderful place to live. The first thing we should do is stop expecting some leader or messiah to come and change the system. We have to change ourselves and our attitude towards the nation. If we do it and value our country then I believe that we have utilized the freedom given to us well.
While entering Egyptian Heaven one of the Egyptian gods Osiris asks two questions and answer to which decides whether you will enter the Egyptian Heaven or not.
1. Have you found Joy of your life?
2. Has your living brought joy in others life?
If we Indians ask this question to ourselves every day we can be a better human and a better Indian at the end of our lives.
Only a life lived for others is worth living – Albert Einstein
No and a real big No is my answer to all who are thinking that this is one more article by one more person which will glorify our Independence Struggle.
Do you love your country?
I guess no one will say “No” to this. I might be wrong in stereotyping your answers but collectively everybody will agree, affirmative. Now if I ask all of you who said ‘Yes’

Movie Week 7.26 - 8.9
Our life is just like a movie reel. One gets over other one begins and sometimes it changes the continuity itself but its an experience everybody has but seldom realizes it.
So without wasting further time.
Even though my movie week is actually a Sun - Sat but i did not watch much movies in 7.26 - 8.1 as i was busy with the closing month schedule and the appraisal work. I ended up staying late in the office and was dreading with work. So my movie week actually began from 8.2. Here are the movies definitely not in the order i watched them
* The Hangover
* Taxi Driver
* Dragonballz Evolution ( Please skip this guys a total waste and a mockery of the original series)
* Interview with a vampire ( excellent movie worth a watch almost replicates the book)
* I Love you Man
* When Harry Met Sally ( really nice movie, very good and not a single moment to dread)
* Sindbad Legend of Seven Seas ( Last Pencil Drawn Disney Movie)
* The Last Samurai
* 10 Things I hate about you ( for all Heath Ledger Fans a must watch)
* Sleepless in Seattle
* Very Young Girls ( a must watch for everybody, real eye opener)
* Collateral ( Tom Cruise looks real nice)
* The Great Buck Howard ( John Malkovich captures the movie with his charisma)
* You've got mail ( the inspiration for many movies in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada)
* The Wedding Crashers
* My Favorite Martian
* City of Angels
In the coming week i have
Four weddings and a funeral, Blood the last vampire, Dare Devil, Bruce Almighty, Toy Story 1 & 2, Fear & Loathing in Vegas, City Slickers, Snatch & Stranger than fiction.
Now my favorites were
The Last Samurai, Interview with a Vampire (Brad Pitt & Tom Cruise a must watch)
When Harry Met Sally
You've got mail
Sleepless in Seattle
City of Angels have one thing in common i.e. undoubtedly (Meg Ryan) my oh my she is so gorgeous. Those eyes can gave somebody killed. I am a fan of eyes and without a point of doubt she has the most attractive for a movie star. I would say City of Angels had one of the most beautiful and romantic dialogues i have ever heard
"I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss of her mouth, one touch of her hand, than eternity without it."
such a romantic dialogue oh my gosh made my eyes watery.
So i will leave you wondering what other movies had. If possible keep watching what i have listed you actually might like it.

We Men, Women
I was trying to do a SWOT analysis on myself. To all those who are new to SWOT is process of identifying (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities & Threats). I am one of those people who can tell and find 1000 weakness in self but struggle to find a single quality that qualifies to be called as strength. After thinking for a very long time I actually realized the strength in my life is a living, breathing person. It is my mom she is the source of my existence itself. She has directly contributed to wherever I have reached so far and wherever I will go in my life all of the success is due to her as she made me competent enough to succeed in life. She fed me when I needed a feeding, she educated me when I needed education and she guided me when I needed guidance. She has provided and still gets me whatever I ask her. Even if I became her slave for next 1000 years I won’t be able to repay her debt.
My mom is my best friend and I never hesitated about talking to her on any matter and I still don’t. There is no topic that is a taboo in my household. I can discuss with her anything without fear. When I had my first crush I came and told her. I brought my first girl friend home and introduced her to my mom. My mom is the coolest and I have a many reasons to say so however today I will cite one of them. I was in my first year of graduation and even on public holidays our principal used to take special classes of Accountancy for everybody and attendance was compulsory and not an option. It was Oct 2, 2002 which is a holiday in India “Gandhi Jayanthi” Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday and few days before that I came to know that one of my friends had met with some accident and was in the hospital. I went to meet him on that day and did not attend this special class. Next day when I came to college during the Principal’s class I was thrown out of his class and asked to bring my mom to meet him so that I can enter again. He even called my mom’s office and asked her to come and meet him. I went and conveyed the same to mom and she said fine. This is what happened in the principal’s office he tells my mom “did you know that your son did not attend a special class two days back?” my mom said “yes, I know that and I also know where he was and she even told the reason as well” so the principal says “oh you did no” my mom says “my children do not hide anything with me” so he tells then “your son stands in the corridor and looks at girls” for that my mom says “looks at girls. If he does not look at girls at this age then you tell me can he do that when he comes to our age. Let him do what is right at this age.” For which my principal had no answer.
My mom came from an economically backward family due to their economic condition she could not study much but she made sure that we are well educated and competent enough to face the world. She did not know what pocket money was when she grew up but made sure that we were given pocket money to make us responsible for our money. I know for many it is the same case but I don’t know if I would be able to give even half the love, care or the things she has done for us. Thank you mom for making us what we are and who we are and thank you for everything you have done for us.
Well the title of my post is “We Men, Women” and all I wrote till now is about my mother. I know I test a reader’s patience to the brink however, I felt I need to tell something out before I begin on this topic still it will be worth so without a further ado.
I come from a land where 33% of the pantheon of gods is women, where we are taught in schools the sloka (verse) “Matru Devo Bhava; Pitru Devo Bhava; Acharya Devo Bhava; Atithi devo Bhava” which means “Honor your mother, father, preceptor and guest as a god”. It also indicates that give your salutations first to your mother as she is your first teacher, god. She is the one who shows you and introduces you to your father. Whoever you are from whichever corner of the world the first word which comes to your mind and your tongue is “Mom, Amma, Ma or any modifications of it” (however I may have somebody challenging that it is not true it is actually a four letter word which begins with “F” and my answer to that it is just because of the advent of English). Our manuscripts say that since god cannot be everywhere he made mother.
A pastor of a church got a call from somebody that in a nearby village a family had new born baby and they were going to abandon it because it was a girl. Being a man of god and responsible human he along with few people went to this village the very next day. They went to the house hold where the baby was born introduced themselves and said that they will take the baby since the family was not interested in raising it. The family members did not speak for a while then slowly the mother with a tear eye said you were a bit late and pointed to a medium sized vessel which was on some burning wood outside the house. The pastor along with the people who had come with him slid the lid of the vessel to see a half boiled baby. This is a true story which happened no so far from where I stay, this happed in a village near Karnataka & Tamilnadu border which is roughly around 25 – 30 kilometers from Bengalooru.
This is a true story that happened in Hitech Hospital, Udupi District in the state of Karnataka. The day was November 17, 2008. A baby’s crying was heard loudly from a ward in which 3 days back a lady had been admitted, who was due for delivery on any time that day. She did give birth to a healthy girl and she was shifted in to this ward on November 15, 2008. Since the door was closed the hospital staff thought the lady must be sleeping and the baby must have woken up and is crying for a nursing. After a while again the baby resumed the cry and did not stop for a long time. That is when the hospital staff entered the ward to find the ward empty and nobody was there in the ward nor had anybody seen the mother leaving the ward. They searched everywhere but their search was futile. The hospital staff tried to search her through the contact address she had given while being admitted and through phone numbers she had provided but all of them were fake. The mother had abandoned her three day old baby in the hospital and left.
These are only two of the thousands of incidents that happen here. We get to hear news like girl baby found in trash bin. Dog found chewing a baby’s leg etc. We Indians are a big bunch of hypocrites we revere a female god (Laksmi goddess of prosperity and good fortune and income, Saraswati goddess of education, talent and skills) but when the same female is born in our houses we jeer. India is one of the foremost runners along with China, Taiwan and Korea for Gendercide or Sex Selection or Female Infanticide. Owing to the laws put forth by the health ministry of India no doctor or a scan operator or technician can reveal the gender of the unborn child. However, in India what is banned is in demand more and more.
We men need women throughout our lives. She brings us to life in the form of a mother, while growing up we get her company in the form of a sister. She becomes our girl friend during our adolescence and as a wife till our old age. We want a female to decorate lives and warm our beds but when a baby is about to be born you try to select it to be male. I salute your audacity to do such heinous deeds openly. And such a society which encourages it by holding its silence is worse to live in.
We men are nothing without women actually because she is everything that we can never be. She is by far god’s greatest creation. Her emotional stability is far better than ours. She has a superior pain tolerance than ours. Survival among women with heart failure is better than for men with the disease. The reasons for this remain unclear. Everything around us is women, we call our country mother land, and earth is also a woman. She takes care of our kids, she takes care of us, she works whole day at home and sometimes in a job to support us and gives us company throughout. She is equivalent to a god as she becomes vessel and bears a child and creates life. She can easily live without us but we can never live without her. There is no MAN without WOMAN; MALE without FEMALE and MEN without WOMEN. A wise person once said our country would be truly developed when a woman can walk the streets alone without fear even at the stroke of midnight.
I am not saying that there are good men and bad women but they are just exception, few here and there but we cannot make exception the rule right. People who are reading this from international boundaries may think that this happens only in India then no you are wrong it happens also where you are there the only difference is the degree of the acts changes may be due to the cultural exposure and mindset of generation. It might be far better controlled due to the laws of your respective lands.
This article is dedicated to all the women right from eve till the last baby girl born when you finished this article. Thank you for being there supporting us throughout history and in to the despite of us men being ungrateful B’s and F’s. We can never imagine filling shoes of a woman as you are so perfect at it. God knew that he cannot be there at everyplace and every time that's why he created you.

Angels...
Everybody loves kids hmmm I might draw a few criticisms for saying that still our land runs on democracy and in democracy majority wins. So, everybody loves kids but to be blunt I did not. I found them filled with tantrums. They make a scene in public, create a big ruckus are messy all the time and a lot of other things which easily come to notice. It not that I completely disliked kids I liked them but only those who were silent and playful and not showing their cranky nature or tantrums.
But all this changed, it was October 27, 2008 and I held my niece for the first time in my arms. She was just few days old but the way she looked at me melt my heart. She could fit in to my forearm, so tender, so soft and yet so beautiful. That is when I understood what a father feels like when he sees his baby for the first time and holds it in his hands for the first time. I wanted to adopt a kid from before but always thought a bit grown up would be nice and easier to manage but this boosted my confidence to actually rethink my decision.
After this encounter no matter what and how much kids try to irritate me or bug me I still love it and enjoy it. They are so so sweet and cho cho cute. Everything they do makes them more adorable for me after which I decided to master the art of child photography. I am a novice still it doesn’t matter to me till I love my subject that is those cute babies. If I have to tell from a photographer’s point of view babies are the toughest to shoot, they are energetic and they do not stay still. In spite of that they give the best expressions as they do not fake a smile, or give artificial pose every emotion of theirs comes from their face which conveys thousand things during the time which they cannot speak.
We Indians have the second highest populations in the world that is almost 17% of the world population. In the time I typed these words almost 100 babies would have been born in India it might sound exaggerated but no it’s the fact. You might be wondering why I started with something personal matter of mine a fear that I overcame or life made me overcome to something else and now talking about something else..
Let me unfold the story
There lived a family husband, wife & a small baby. Husband was working in abroad where as his family was not with him but in his home country. This marriage was not so old but actually quite fresh as the baby was just a year and half old so probably almost three years old. A wild storm blows in to the life of this family. The husband leaves his wife and settles abroad. The wife and mother of baby are left to take care of the kid of 2 by years old by now. She manages but life is not as easy as it looks. She wants to make money quickly but the baby is a shackle which she feels holding her back. She conveys to her house maid that she wants to go abroad and work upon which the house maid asks “what will you do with the baby?” she replies saying I will give it to somebody who needs or I will put it for adoption.
The next day when maid goes to the house again for work, she sees the mother has packed her bags and tells the maid you take care of the kid. I am going abroad and she just walks out of the home handing over the kid to the maid. The maid who does house chores for a living has a baby (let me describe you the baby. She was like an angel very smart and very playful and one who would capture your attention in just a glance) she feels that she will give it somebody who needs it. So, she takes it to some big person in her locality and hands over the baby and tells them to take care of it for one day.
When she went to collect the baby next day she finds it the baby was sold to somebody for mere Rs. 20,000 i.e. almost $500. When they went to the person who bought it the answer they got was the baby is already sent to the Gulf Countries. Does it look a bollywood movie story but actually it happened in reality not just in a remote part of India. It happened in the IT city Bengalooru itself not in a remote area of Bengalooru but in Kormangala. This story was told to me by my friend who along with his family approached the person who had sold the baby for money and also to the person who bought it. How did he come to know about this matter? The maid of the story worked in their house too.
Now the question is who is to be blamed “the father”, “the mother”, “maid”, “person who sold it” or “the buyer”. Hmmm let me guess half of the people who are reading this post have already made up the mind that it is the “mother” who has to be blamed or the other half will be pointing at the “person who sold it”. I might be wrong in assuming and stereotyping your thoughts so I apologize for that. Actually everybody has played a pivotal role in this incident and everybody has to be blamed and if you take it to court of law everybody will be guilty under some section or the other. But, I am blaming them for forgetting humanity which is more than anything.
Millions of people live and are ready to die or already dead try to uphold the legacy of their religions but is it me or our mankind has seen very few people who uphold the religion of humanity. I am right in telling humanity as a religion as it is the first thing that we learn that we are humans aka homosapiens. I guess overtime we have forgotten it and probably that is the main reason we have so many problems of the world.
Now how can I prove that humanity could have saved the baby from being sold?
If the husband wanted discontinue with his marital life. He could have approached a court of law and ended it legally and paid an alimony to his wife and baby this was the least humanity he could have shown acknowledging to a fact that she has left the comfort of her home and family and come behind him leaving everything what was hers to a unknown family and became his wife, shared her life and herself with him and gave him a beautiful gift for a child. If he though not to approach a court of law than they could have had a mutual settlement. What stopped him? Was it the thought that he had to split his money with him or was it because he did not want to take a responsibility.
If the mother couldn’t have taken care of the baby alone then she should have put it up for adoption. I guess when she learnt of the fact that it will take a long time to do so she must have decided to walk off or seeing the face of the child might have made her remember the face of her ungrateful husband due to which she could not tolerate and might have left the baby. If she had just thought that I brought this baby to this world yes it is her who brought the baby to this world. She became a vessel of life and carried the fetus for 9 months and then brought it to life. She is responsible for it and that poor thing does not have anybody else to go to. If she had thought that I am responsible for somebody’s life and that somebody none other than my own baby a part of my body who cannot live off on its own then I should fend for it.
In Indian manuscripts one of the holiest books “Srimad Bhagvadgita” says a message the ‘doing injustice is a crime but much greater crime than that is tolerating injustice’. Yes the maid even though has not much part in this ordeal than the communicator between parties but yes if she had thought what is happening is not right then the thing would have stopped from happening. I am not saying that she did not do it but she acted a bit late. If she had thought to right people on right time then we could have averted this ordeal. If she had cared to update the authorities or took responsibility of handing over the baby to right people I would not have been writing this article.
The person who sold it is an opportunity seeker and he had an opportunity to make money and he did it without shame. Is money everything in this life and not that small life what you traded means nothing. Is it a commodity that can be sold over the counter? If he had also thought that where will this child go if I sell it? How will that baby end up in life? If he had even had slight thought on these matters he would have not sold it. But to my dismay money is the biggest god and it controls everybody. No matter how much we have it still it’s not enough.
Last but not the least the one who bought it, he is just an agent for somebody a puppet and somebody else pulls the strings and of all if he had thought no I will not buy this beautiful thing or even after buying it if he had just thought for a moment where will it end up in to or if I was also a helpless baby and somebody selling me or if somebody else sells my baby. I know it’s feeble to think it would have been stopped if this person would not have bought it. If not him somebody else would have eventually did so. Until there are sellers there will be buyers.
Now that the baby is sent to Dubai only her fate decides where she will end up or decision of the person who took her there. She might be adopted by some person if that happens then it ended good though it started badly but such miracles very rarely happen at least from where I see they seldom do. My hunch is she would be sold either to a rich sheik who will keep her in his harem raise her then when she comes off age she will make her his mistress or to a brothel where she will be raised and then when she is of age she would be sold to a highest bidder who is ready to pay highest amount just to deflower her. It can also happen she might be sold to the illegal camel racing events as a jockey for the camel. If mu hunches are wrong then I don’t mind it going wrong actually would be very happy but I can’t count on it going wrong also from what I have seen and heard. All I can do is pray for that angel.
In Indian manuscripts there is a verse which says “Dharmo rakshathi rakshitaha” dharma literally translates as that which upholds or supports, and is generally translated into English as law or also as one’s righteous duty or any self righteous path. The translation would be Dharma protects those who protect it. So if any one of the parties had thought of protecting ‘Manav Dharma” (Manav means human in Sanskrit) or anybody in this world thinks even for a second before acting out and sees the world from a humanity perspective then we would not have half of the problems of what we have now. I know I or even you cannot take responsibility of everything or everybody but if we take responsibility of one person each then I think we can change how things go around. Think about what I have said and do sleep over it. I know I have written long article thank you for your patience for reading it.
